My name is Pauline, and I’m a Belgian-born artist and apprentice tattooer based in Copenhagen.

I have been interested in art since I was a child, but put that part of me aside for several years to pursue a bachelor in political science and a master program in urban studies. After writing my thesis and graduating, I sat down and reevaluated my choices. I found out that making art and being creative was crucially missing in my life, and decided to take drastic measures towards changing my course. I moved to Copenhagen and took a few years to work towards my goal of becoming a tattoo artist and getting an apprenticeship. 5 years later, here I am!

I have been apprenticing and tattooing at Calm since 2020 under the guidance of my mentor Camillo Ocean Klamer. I work hard every day not only to develop my skills as a tattooer but also as an artist, working daily on my technical fundamentals and on finding my visual identity.

My style is mostly focused on black illustrative work, drawing inspiration from many places but mainly from the melancholic duality of nature, both brutal and soft, indubitably dark, inexorably infinite in its beauty. Animals, flowers, rusty old tools, the magical and the mystical are but examples of the subjects that attract me. I still have a lot to learn and discover, and I am excited to see where this journey takes us.
